The Hive: Nottingham Trent University’s Centre for Entrepreneurship & Enterprise

The Hive specialises in helping entrepreneurs to turn brilliant business ideas into reality.  As well as offering support, guidance and training, The Hive provides a professional working environment where you can work on your business idea, hold meetings and mix with other new business entrepreneurs.

To get you started, The Hive provides a 12-week training programme called HeadStart.  This takes you though the principles of running a business, helping you to identify and evaluate the opportunities, prepare that vital business plan, and get the best out of your idea.

Once you’ve put your plan together and established a credible business idea, it’s time to put it into action.  SmarTrak is a three-year mentored programme of support to help you actually start running your business.  You’ll benefit from access to The Hive’s infrastructure, support and facilities, plus you’ll get lots of help with signposting to all-important funding, networking and marketing.

Resources include:

• Hot desks and fully equipped, air-conditioned, office units (at competitive market rates)
• IT facilities with broadband & network access and a wide range of software
• Reception area and services
• Meeting rooms & conference facilities including, fully equipped kitchen and access to catering services
• Free events, seminars and networking opportunities
